“Your Best Version Is Under Construction”: A Powerful Morning withMujer Academy

On Thursday, January 22nd at 11:00 a.m., I had the privilege of speaking to a remarkable group of women from Mujer Academy in Lutz, Florida. The event took
place at the welcoming Party Now venue, where we gathered for a powerful and heartfelt session titled “Your Best Version Is Under Construction,” part of my
ongoing series En Construcción… The Tour.

From the moment the women arrived, the atmosphere was filled with openness, curiosity, and a genuine desire for growth. As a clinical psychologist, I am always moved by the courage it takes to explore one’s inner world, and this group embraced the experience with enthusiasm.

One of the central themes of the conference was the idea that identity is not a fixed destination but an evolving process. We discussed how every human being is shaped by experiences, choices, and seasons of life and how expecting ourselves to remain unchanged can limit our potential.

I emphasized that change is not inconsistency. Instead, it is a natural and necessary part of human evolution. We are all works in progress, constantly being redesigned by life, learning, and selfreflection. Granting ourselves permission to change is an act of selfcompassion and emotional maturity.

The session unfolded in a warm and interactive environment. The women participated actively, asked thoughtful questions, and shared personal reflections that enriched the conversation. Together, we explored what it means to build the “best version” of ourselves that honors authenticity, resilience, and continuous transformation.

The energy in the room was uplifting. Laughter, insight, and moments of deep connection flowed naturally as we navigated these meaningful topics.
At the end of the conference, several participants expressed their appreciation and shared how the message resonated with them. Their testimonies reflected gratitude, inspiration, and a renewed sense of purpose. Hearing how the content impacted their lives was a beautiful reminder of why I am passionate about this work.

To conclude the event, the ladies enjoyed a lovely lunch together and an opportunity to continue the conversation, build community, and celebrate the morning’s insights in a relaxed and joyful setting.

This conference was a meaningful stop on En Construcción… The Tour, and I am deeply grateful to Mujer Academy for the invitation and the warm reception. Witnessing women embrace their growth, honor their process, and step boldly into their evolving identity is one of the greatest rewards of my profession.

Our best version is always under construction and that is something to celebrate.
